PROCESS TO GET A CONCEALED CARRY WEAPON PERMIT IN L.A. COUNTY
1. Apply with the police department where you live. If your city does not have a police dept. or you live in an unincorporated part of L.A. County, you apply with L.A. County Sheriff's Dept (LASD). Most departments have an online portal to submit your application. You must own at least 1 gun to list on your application. Non-CA residents can now apply for a CA CCW permit.
2. You will be interviewed regarding your application, complete Live Scan fingerprinting and have a background check conducted. Some departments may require a psych evalution that you must pay for.
3. AFTER your background check is completed, you will receive approval to do your initial 16 hour training. You should not book CCW training with us until you've been approved to do so.
4. After your training with us, you will submit 2 forms: the shooting qualification form & certificate of completion and wait to be informed when to pick up your CCW permit.
5. You will need to take 8 hour training every 2 years to renew your CCW permit. Some departments allow you to add new guns to your permit anytime, while others only allow you to add new guns when you renew.
WEEKEND 16HR INITIAL TRAINING ($399)
SAT-SUN: Oct 31-Nov 1, Dec 5-6
- Most CCW schools spend more time in the classroom and very little shooting at the range.
- The majority of our CCW training, 10 hours are live fire (250 rounds) at the outdoor range to make sure your shooting foundation is solid and equip you with advanced realistic skills like rapid fire from holster draw.
- No limit to the number of guns you want to qualify for your CCW permit.
- More the merrier! We're the only CCW school that lets your family/friends join you so we make you all better shooters, even if they aren't applying for a CCW ($250/person).
- Hot lunch provided on Day 2 for the 5 hour Sunday classroom lecture.
- 2 days of training can be completed over the same weekend or different weekends.
- Returning clients use LAPS10 for 10% OFF.
- CA NON-RESIDENTS: Yes, we provide training for out-of-state residents. Book here if you are in CA these dates. Or contact ATG to complete the 16 hour requirement online.

WEEKEND 8HR RENEWAL ($199)
SAT/SUN: Oct 31-Nov 1, Nov 1, Dec 5-6, Dec 6
You have 2 Renewal Options:
1. If you are confident in your shooting ability and only need basic renewal qualification, take our 1 day training on Sundays, 8:30am-5pm.
- CCW shooting proficiency in the morning with all guns on permit (no limit on number of guns).
- Lecture in comfortable, air-conditioned classroom in the afternoon.
- Hot lunch provided.
- Returning clients use LAPS10 for 10% OFF.
2. If you didn't learn realistic shooting skills in CCW training at other schools and want to learn advanced skills, take our 2 day renewal on Saturday 12:30pm-4:30pm / Sunday 8:30am-12:30pm
- Saturday: Learning safe holster draw, shooting fast while being defensively accurate, clearing malfunctions.
- Sunday: CCW shooting proficiency with all guns on permit (no limit on number of guns).
- Hot lunch provided on Sunday.
- Returning clients use LAPS10 for 10% OFF.

ADD NEW PISTOLS TO CCW PERMIT ($100)
For many agencies like LASD & LAPD, you no longer need to wait until your renewal to add new pistols to your permit. No limit on number of guns.
