TERMS & CONDITIONS
- All payments are generally NON-REFUNDABLE. To provide a safe and comfortable learning environment, carefully planned and taught by professionally trained staff, requires reserving our own secure, safe private range away from the general public, at least one year ahead. Substantial time, travel and resources are invested well ahead of your attendance.
- As an immigrant and minority-owned, majority women-operated small business, we schedule our team and pay a fair living wage based on the anticipated number of students per class. We need a minimum of 4 students per class. One week before class, if we do not have the minimum number of students, you will be offered alternative dates to reschedule your lesson.
- Our classes are conducted outdoors and are rain or shine, as long as they are safe to conduct. There may be occasions with heavy rain or extreme heat, we may move the majority of a beginner class to a nearby indoor location.
- While we make every effort to conduct a class as scheduled, the safety of all participants determines whether the class takes place. Cancelling or rescheduling a class due to weather conditions, such as moving afternoon classes to the morning to avoid summer heat, is done for everyone’s safety.
- If this is your first time participating in outdoor recreational activities, especially if handling firearms for the first time, it is expected that participants understand classes may be rescheduled for safer outdoor conditions, and to be understanding and flexible with that possibility.
- In the event that you are unable to attend a rescheduled class, you will be issued a credit for the class that never expires and can be transferred to another person, if that person has met the prerequisites for the class.
- Instances where a refund can be issued is if the cancelled class is a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) class since CCW applicants have a time deadline in which to complete their training, or if you are a visitor to our area and will no longer be in the our area for the rescheduled class.
- We send multiple reminders via email and SMS texts to remind you of your scheduled class date and start time, including 1 week before, 1 day before, and 90 minutes before your class, as well as reminders to check your spam/junk folder and contact us immediately if you do not see our email instructions.
- We are not responsible if you receive emails or SMS texts from our booking system, showing the start time in a different time zone, because you booked your lesson using a VPN or your computer is set to a different time zone. Please double check the start time for your class is Los Angeles time (Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight Time depending on the time of year).
- There is very limited cell phone service at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa, and we can be reached on an emergency basis at 323-900-5277 if our Starlink is operational and the skies are clear. However, we will be very busy setting up before our classes and busy teaching, so we cannot guarantee we are available to answer calls or see texts on the day of your lesson. Please make sure you call or text us with any questions about your lesson at least 24 hours before your class.
- If you must cancel, you agree to let us know at least 7 days in advance of your lesson, so we can make your seat available to others. Because our class dates and private range are reserved ahead of time, up to a year in advance for high demand weekend classes, if you cancel last minute, you are jeopardizing our ability as a small business to run at full capacity and your empty seat could've gone to another paying customer.
- If you request cancellation/rescheduling for yourself or your party less than 7 days before your lesson, there will be a $100 rescheduling fee per person. You will be emailed and sent a text 8 days before your lesson reminding you it is the last day to reschedule without penalty, so this is not a surprise to you.
- For advanced classes (Pistol 201, 202, 301 & Carry Concealed Weapon), founder Tom Nguyen flies back internationally to Los Angeles once a month to teach them. His availability is very limited and there are significant costs and travel time invested ahead of time for our advanced classes. Refunds are only possible for Carry Concealed Weapon class if requested at least 7 days before 1st day of training, before staffing and resources have already been dedicated to your attendance. $75 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours or are a no-show on the day of the lesson, you forfeit your payment and/or credit with us and will need to pay full price again to rebook your lesson. If you do not give us enough notice of cancellation or are a no-show, you have deprived us of a paying customer who could've taken the spot on our busy calendar specifically set aside for you.
